Catalyst TNSO is a chloride containing bi-function catalytic reforming catalyst which adopts high purity γ-Al2O3 as carrier and Pt, Sn as active components.
The main feature of this catalyst is that the surface stability has been improved remarkably. In comparison with the nowadays used universal industrial catalysts R-32, TESO, under steady severity, this catalyst can prolong the life of the catalyst, or with the same life of the catalyst it can improve the severity for catalytic reforming reaction, such as: to reduce the operating pressure, increase octane number of stabilized gasoline or increase the feeding rate etc. As the surface stability of this catalyst is improved, the chloride maintenance power of it is also improved, thus can reduce the chloride introducing-rate in the period of using the catalyst. As a result, not only the operation cost is lowered and also alleviated the environment problem caused by this process.
Another feature of the catalyst TNSO is that the noble metal content of it is lower than that of the same kind of the foreign catalyst. So that the loading cost of the catalyst is lowered, thus the economic benefit for running in the device is increased.
Catalyst TNSO was used in the continuous reforming device of Liaoyang Petrochemical company polyesterification in April 1994 replaced the UOP catalyst. It was used in reforming device of Lanzhou refiner.
